writes: I am keen on a guy but he's very shy and doesn't go out socially so I don't know him well. I'm not sure if he likes me but would like to ask him round for dinner. Would phoning him up put him too much on the spot? Should I instead write a note asking him round?

Don't think about what makes him comfortably, what make you comfortable? That is what matters. You just be yourself and if he really likes you than I hope you have fun at dinner!

no u need to make contact with him physically or just so he can hear ur voice so phone him. just ask him casually if he would like to come round for dinner sometime as a friend and a way to find out if he likes u is , because he is shy u should listen to his voice and if he hesitates or gets nervous talkin to u then he obviously likes you.
