I feel like I shouldn't even do the tummy tuck surgery too because if I'm just going to have children later on, it'll just detroy the results and why bother...do you think I should just leave myself alone until I ahve kids and then get the surgery? I don't know how I may feel about my body in the future, but I feel as though if I don't accept it now the way it is,my opinion might not change--any advice? thanks (by the way i'm 20 and have lost a lot of weight--I think it would help me with my sekf-esteem and amke me more atttractive towards my boyfriend or other guys)

Look at the statistics, the majority of people who go into cosmetic surgieris come out unhappy and/or wanting to change themself more! So based on that, we can only assume this person here would be the same.
And this person seems to clearly be doing it for that reaons as she said 'i am 20 years old and really down about my looks'.
Why not try the healhtier options to tone your stomache by doing sit ups and other activiites like that? not only will exercise make your body look better, you will be healthier, have a better heart and have that feeling of success as you worked for it!

A tummy tuck is to get rid of loose skin in the abdominal area. I am having this after 4 kids. It really has nothing to do with loosing weight. If you want to loose weight it is liposuction you may want not tummy tuck. The writer below who says it shouldnt be to change your natural look is wrong. She obviously doesnt have the problem I do and believe me I think all women who want tt after kids should be fully funded and supported. There is no recognition of how massive stretch marks and excess skin after pregnancy can wound a womans self esteem.
I say, go fdor it aftre kids if you need it.

Hi there,
It seems to me the real question is whether or not to have the tummy tuck at all? In general, I am totally against costmetic surgeries, as often I think people do them for not a good reason. They do them to change there natrual look in hope they will feel better. Yet the majority of the time, what happens is the person will be like ok 'i just what a tummy tuck', then they get it done and they are like hmm i could loose some more, so they go and get another surgery done, or they find something else about there body to pick on! Because what needs to be changed is there MIND way, not there phsycialy appearence.
I think that if you are doing this just to make yourself confidence betteer then it will probably be a waste. The only times i think cosmetic surgeries or anything like that hsould be done, si say if someone was in a car accieent and there face had scars on it or something like that, not to change your natrual appearence.
But if you still want to do it, then I would wait till after you have kids. Don't rush yourself into making any decisions, it can wait, and you know what I think? Since your insurance can cover it, does that mean you won't be paying for all of it? I think that enless you are willing to pay the full price then it obvisouly isnt that worht it is it?
