 Go ahead and go to a doc. If you're ever unsure about anything with your body, it never hurts to go to a doctor to make sure.
If you're having any pain, any changes in your vision, redness, puffiness, or any fluid beyond the normal amount you have in your eye, then those would be very big signs that there is a problem.
But, most of the time, if the person is generally healthy, spit in your eye won't hurt you.
