The worst that could is happen is 1) you could make her feel uncomfortable and/or 2) you may have to find another bank.
If you are okay with those possibilities or think you know a way out of them, I'd say go ahead.

She should always be eager to help you, that is her job after all and it sounds like she is good at it. When you say she gets upset how do you know this? Does she show emotion? Does she shed tears or is it you that thinks aw she looks upset. You say you can feel her smiling, but am sure that is her job. I don't think you should give her your number, I think you should smile back when you see her and leave it at that. Let her do her job that she is paid to do and don't put her in an awkward situation. Don't read in to these signs to much.

Remember its part of her job to put on a friendly smily face and part of the job to only talk to customers who are in her queue.
its possible that you have put extra meaning into her friendliness.
It doesnt mean she is bi or even that she is looking for a sex partner of any sort.
It just means that she is the smily friendly face of the bank so dont make her job harder by throwing her a curved ball as they say.
Look elsewhere for your conquests and let her do her work in peace.x
