On June 2nd, my grade is going to Quebec and in the information packet it said in the province of Quebec, minors can legally get tattoos and piercings with out their parents permission. seriously, that is awesome. But my mom read it and she was like you better not come back with anything! I really want my lip pierced so bad, but I don't know if I should do it. :[ help!

I think it is crazy that minors are allowed to get body-piercing without parental consent...maybe I am getting old!!! I got my belly button pierced in my 20's - it hurt, it got infected, I had antibiotics, I have a scar ten years later...but I can cover it up. You may think this is a great idea now but when lip rings are no longer fashionable or you have a job banning them then you may want to think again. Someone who lives near me is covered in piercing but she is about 55 and they are definitely sagging and not looking good anymore. If you really do go ahead with this make sure you go to a registered practitioner who is licensed to do the job and uses sterile equipment (they should take the needle out of the wrap in front of you).

I have never had any piercings so i cannot comment, but it looks so painful when it is first done. If your parents dont, then dont, wait.
take care
