writes: Last july (2006) I was in a club and i thought someone had jabbed a needle into my arm. Anxious I went to the hospital and got a hep B vaccine. The doctor said it was unlikely to be a needle jab but I should still get the second vaccination a month later, which I did. I was meant to get the 3rd one 6 months later but I was backpacking at the time and it would have been ineffective to give me 3rd one before. I didn't get the 3rd vaccination in the end so I was wondering - should I still get 3rd Hep B vaccine 1.5 years after the first one. If not what should I do? Reply to this Question Share |

After 1.5 years it wouldn't do much good to have the 3rd vaccine, so you would be better off restarting the vaccine course. But before you do why don't you go to your GP's and get them to do a blood test and see how much protection you have. You may find you have enough immunity already.
