Be true to yourself. Real friends tend to be supportive of their friends' dreams.
Are they worried because they think you've given into pressure? Because unless they're a lot older than you they can't tell you not to follow that. Or are you changing?
(Have you seen mean girls)
besides cheer-leading IS fun

you silly girl, the answer is so simple, it's too bad you aren't wise enough to see it ^^
lol don't worry I won't leave ya hangin with a riddle =D
Ooooook, so the answer is, follow your dream derrrr.
lol friends, are people who support you no matter what you do, and like you for who YOU are, not what ya do :P
Now, you're prolly wondering why they are like that. Well, I'm pretty sure I know why. They are scared of losing you.
I mean, when you got on the cheerleading squad, you will make new friends, and of course, preppy guys always go after the cheerleaders. Oh you'll recognize them, they are the guys with trucks, wear hats, maybe have a couple of the confederate flag, attend all the football games, etc etc
And well, those groups usually don't let in people outside of their click. By doing so, they will alienate your friends, and your new friends will convince you to hanging out with them more, until the day comes to where you don't hang out with your old friends, leading to time seperation, leading to you guys drifting apart, which in turn,
leads to you no longer being friends with them! lol simple isn't it? but hey those are the facts. And I'm like 90% sure that's what will actually happen. Though I do pray n hope ya go for the 10% margin, but w/e lol.
Lol have fun with that

Follow your dreams. You must always be true to yourself, otherwise you just end up living your life to please everyone else and you'll have alot of regrets when you're older. And if your friends bail out on you when you chose to follow your heart, then I'd say they weren't very good friends to begin with, and you'll probably make new ones along the way. Good luck.
