If it's not anxiety, then you have become too dependent on adult movies for stimulation.

Not My Name agony auntThe equipment obviously works so I don't think anything is biologically wrong with you. Sounds like you have performance anxiety kicking in and affecting your erection. It is a mental problem - not as in mental crazy, ..but mental as is it is due to what is going on in your mind.

If it is any consolation, a couple of partners I've had have had this issue when we first tried to have sex, but they got past it in time. One within a few weeks, another took a few months - but once over the hurdle there were no future occurences.

I would suggest tho that you perhaps avoid casual sex and wait until you have spent a bit of time in a relationship with an understanding partner. The last thing you want to do is rack up a huge pile of such incidents that may exacerbate your anxiety going in to it. A longer term partnership may help you feel more comfortable, connected, accepted, and if an attempt fails - understood and not judged - which will be better for your mental approach.

If it does happen again, just explain that you are nervous, over excited, (whatever is going on) and someone you have spent time in a relationship with will be understanding. Honestly, when been in that situation there was no negative thought towards the guy at all, ... if anything, I was concerned for how they were feeling and trying my best to reassure them that it was ok and not the end of the world.
