Oblivia agony auntIt might have been her purpose to offend you but it doesn't mean you have to give her the pleasure of success.

Decide to take the good part of it, I'm sure she was honest about you looking great on the picture.

So, no, don't waste any more energy on getting offended with her, save it till more difficult cases. Ignore it and keep smiling!

Take good care!

Pick out the best of the statement, meaning you look great! Dont go looking for any hidden meanings, some people take rubbish photos and yet look really good in the flesh. So dont make a mole hill into a mountain.

take care

She probably means you scrub up nicely - which most women do when they apply a little effort into it. I'd take it as a compliment.

Jamer70 agony auntWell i got two things from this

Firstly yeah she could be a little bi*** and is just being rude towards you over the internet, if this is the case ignore it as its just stupid childish behaviour

Second by "not like you usually do" it could mean she is saying you do look great, but your not looking like you usually do. Which is not a insult at all.

Your better of ignoring the comment and just moving on, better off not starting an arguement. Good Luck

A female reader, brooke5426 United Kingdom +, writes (2 January 2008):

brooke5426 agony auntits hard to say. at first glance it looks like a backhanded compliment and like she's having a little dig at you but the thing about myspace and anything where its not face to face contact with the person, you dont have a tone of voice to know how something is meant.

it could be that she was being a bitch and you should be offended but it could also be that she means it like "something about you looks different in this picture and its a great look for you". you should ask her.

good luck

brooke
