I was reading that "Life is too short" article, and the bit that said "..relationship without love" hit me quite hard. Me and my girlfriend split a few weeks ago and so many thoughts have been running through my head. At first I was thinking "Right, I'm young, I'm just gonna have fun, screw love." But recently, I've been thinking about looking for a girlfriend.. a relationship.

My question is this: Should I be looking for love at such a 16?

You don't have to look for love, just have fun and love will find you. Life is very short, but what that means is we have to have fun, live and just have a damn good time, don't worry about anything because it just takes up too much time. It does not mean you have to go looking for love at 16. If you find a girl that you decide you want to give your heart to, then sure, go ahead and have a relationship, but again don't go looking for it purposly. I'm 17, and although a boyfriend would be nice, i have no intention of looking for love at the moment. If i find it, great, a bonus! But until then, I'm living life to the full, but i'm just doing it as a single girl!

Hope that answers your question! xxx

jessica04 agony auntLooking for love is fine. What seems to really stick up teenagers is the thought that they have to stay in love with the same person forever.

If every relationship you have has some form of love in it, then great! Have fun with it! Just don't get hung up on "making thinks work" if they start to go downhill.

It is ok to fall in love at any age, but it is also ok to fall out of love. You said it before; You're young, go have fun. Love will come when it sees fit.
