We seem to get on and she is single and about the same age. I would love to ask her out but on both times have felt shy because we're in a group and I don't want to be humiliated in front of my friends.I played golf with her again today. Women are intuitive and I wouldn't be surprised if she has picked up on my shyness as it has been pronounced at the farewell stage (not during the golf).Question. I was wondering whether to ask her brother if I'm wasting my time by asking her out. Or I could email her tommorrow and ask if she fancies a couple of drinks one evening. My confidence with women is low at the moment and I have believed this girl is too good for me and wouldn't be interested. To be honest I'm expecting a no but at least I can say I've asked.Any advice greatly appreciated.James

But first make sure your friend is alright with it first so there are no argie bargies.
Don't worry about being confident, all you need is a smile and t tell yourself you are a nice guy and the chances are she will say yes.
Keep it subtle, ask her to go for a coffee or to go watch a movie.
