reader, anonymous, writes (29 September 2006): You can't make some talk - I kno from experience. I was one of these people who bottled everything up inside of me. And no matter how much my boyf tried to make me talk about what was wrong I could never talk to him.
Just let her know that you are there for her if she does want to talk to you. Maybe even say it to her best friend or mom to see if they can get her to talk...
But don't push her as it will only drive her away...

 You cant make her tell you You can only be there for her so that if/when she decides she wants to tell you she knows that you are there for her.
If she is upset, try not asking her whats wrong, ask her if she wants a hug or for you to run her a bath. These things will help her relax and not feel pressured into telling you
Just let her know your there for her
