writes: I'm 38yrs, met a girl of 21 yrs a few months ago, was worried about age gap but once I got to know her it was'nt a problem. I fell madly in love and believed she had too, everything was going great. However she did have a recent ex, after a few weeks he kept on pestering her and I stupidly let it bother me. She insisted that she wanted to be with me, but I still let it bother me, I tried not to but I had'nt been in a relationship for a few years and I think I became a bit insecure. At new year we had a big row, we were both drunk and a lot of stupid things were said, I for some reason hurt myself. She got back with her ex, but after a few weeks she started seeing me behind his back. She told me that she had made a mistake by getting back with him but did'nt want to hurt him, he was working away from home. I thought that we would get back together eventually, she was under a lot of family pressure about the age gap as was I. However we both said that as long as we were happy thats all that mattered. Then her boyfriend started working at home and she decided to give it another go with him. This has left me devestated, I am trying really hard to get over her but I truely believe that she is the love of my life. I would like to get her back but I don't know how, everyone I know tells me to forget her but I know that she does love me. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
