writes: Hi I'm having a problem right now. I met this girl through a friend of mine and when we first met we fell for each other. The problem is we broke up after a few weeks because she told me that her cell group leader did not approve of our relationship because I'm an atheist while she is of charismatic Christian faith. The point is that I still love her and she still feels the same way for me and told me that she will wait for me till I accept the Christian faith but I know its gonna be difficult as I have been a atheist most of my life. I'm willing to do anything just to be with her. What should I do? Help me pls...

The Lord works in mysterious ways. This could be your calling. Listen to it. Try attending a few church services of different faiths on your own. Then maybe discuss some of the concerns or questions you may have with this girl. I am sure her leaders would approve of that!

I only know of two Christian religions where followers are expected to have same faith relationships. these are Jehovah's Witnesses and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons). if her religion is not one of these then there is no reason for you not to be with her, if it is one of these, then try to have something to do with her faith if you want to be with her. no one can be made to believe in something they don't. she may be disfellowshipped from the religion if she is with a non believer. however, if this happens and you comply with certain rules such as no sex before marriage then she can go back to the religion again if you get married as they will not condone divorce.
