I essentially cried when she dumped me. But I thought I was like over the emotional parts of it by now......but again I'm depressed. Her grampa died the same day that we broke up. And like today as one of my friends was giving me a ride across town. I saw her walking home from school. she just looked so........I guess. lonely. it just made me so sad to see that even though we arnt goin out anymore? She was my best friend before we started dating and I hope we still can be....but idk.... any idea what is with my feelings???

If you guys had a solid friendship before you started going out, then I don't see a reason why you still can't maintain a friendship. But, here's a thought for you: since her grandpa died, maybe she needs a close friend that knows her well to help get over it. I'd say be that friend with no pretenses of trying to reclaim the relationship. That straight-forward gesture of kindness will mean a lot to her and possibly help her over this rough patch.
Help her, support her and be her friend. I'm sure it would be appreciated.
