writes: i have loved this girl with everything i've got for years, we've been through hard times and she wants to move on after all our time together. any suggestions on what i can say to make her change her decision? because now she acts like she hates me and we've said and done things that weren't exactly nice. and i don't know how to make it up and make her believe that we can fix this.

reader, anonymous, writes (13 March 2009): dont fix anything, dont make anything. there's nothing to make. if you love somebody set them free. i love this man but he doesnt want me. we were together 10yrs. i told him let me be your friend, adn we were great friends. i'm happy i'm still in his life than not at all.
