writes: i asked a friend to the ball. she said yes yesterday. but today she asked if it's ok to go with her girl mates instead coz she went with a boy last year and this time wants to be with her mates. she said it nicely and asked if it's ok. i had no choice but to say that fine and smile. at the end she said it's nothin personal. i am so dissapointed coz i love her so much and this christmas ball at school was my only big chance to dance and show how much i love her! but now it's gone. i wanna still dance on a few slow love songs which play at the end lol. any ideas? remember she's my friend so i'm a little more free with her. also she seems a bit shy since i've asked her, she doesn't talk much and i dont make an effort because everytime i look at her i totally remember how close my chance was to be with this beautiful girl! but she realized i'm quiet but always tries sayin bye if i dont say hi when goin past when she's talkin my girl mate who's her best mate.so she still likes me as a friend but i love her. any ideas how i could get closer to her?

 maybe as ur friend she was just shocked as she didnt expect u will ask her to be her date, which means u will need to take this slow dont push her u might be lucky and she decides to change her mind. maybe what can help u is to tell her the truth about ur feelings, tell her why u asked her not her mate, sometimes the truth is the only thing that saves us. good luck
