She says she's going away for work and won't have time to call me!

Question - (25 June 2009) 2 Answers - (Newest, 25 June 2009)
A male United States age 51-59, anonymous writes:

My girlfriend had to travel for work. She claims she thinks she will be to busy to call. Does this sound strange to anyone? She called when she landed, to let me know she made it ok. She returned my text when I ask her a question, but when I text her to say good night which I do everyday, she texts me back. She has not done that the last few times. We have been dating for 1 year now, and up until recently I was thinking about asking her to marry me. But not having time to make a phone call! The only reason I can think of is it is not a work trip but a guy trip. Should I leave her?

A reader, anonymous, writes (25 June 2009):

I don't know, as for me...this is not enough evidence that she is with someone. What I can say is maybe she was too tired to call and also, she knows you love her and she is maybe just taking you for granted. She knows you are always there.

But be vigilant. Just observe her on the coming days..

Goodluck!!

A female reader, MonicaC United States +, writes (25 June 2009):

MonicaC agony auntIt does sound a little odd to me. I mean, honestly, it doesn't take that long to make a quick call on the cellie to say "Hi, I'm thinking about you." My gut instincts would be going into overdrive about something like this. I don't mean to cast aspersions about your lover, but the behavior is slightly fishy.

If I were in your situation, I would wait until she returns from her trip and sit down and just talk to her about your feelings. You could ask her directly if something is going on and then get a better sense of where things stand.

Best of luck. xoxo
