She said yes!

A male United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

well I got a yes finally from the girl I could easily spend the rest of my life just listening to her. She makes me think and couldn't be any prettier in my eyes.

well the yes isn't to a date unless you would label it as that. I asked if she would run with me in my training for cross country and she said yes. she is one of the best runners I know and I figure a little competition would be fun.

Well she said yes for some time this week, she said it was to early to tell what day and that is understandable with school and such. Well even know she said yes I have this overwhelming feeling she will say yes and blow me off. so I almost want to tell her before that happens that she doesn't need to go with me but at the same time I don't want to miss out on something that might happen.

what are your thoughts tell her its okay and she doesn't need to go with me to avoid being bailed/rejected or hold her to her word and pray that she will run with me?

this may sound like a stupid thing but this will be like the first time I have gotten her to say yes to something and she is the most special thing to me. i respect her tremendously and think she is an angle, I think this would be the chance for her to at least see that Im not this shy guy that is awkward around her. So I think with this competition will be a good shot for me because its something I can relate well to her and to talk about with her.

so I have a few plans If I manage to pull ahead and get out of sight (highly doubt this) but if I do then I think I will pretend to sprain my ankle or something and let her win then the next day walk around fine so she might notice that I let her win. I am very competitive but I have never played a sport or worked out against a girl that makes me feel the way she does.

pure stubbornness will make sure that I keep up with her regardless of if it sets a new world record time she makes me feel good plain and simple.

other strategy suggested by a friend just pointing that out cause its not my thinking. run behind her to enjoy the view... I think you will get what this means.

so If I have the ability to should I win the race, let her win if I am ahead with a fake injury or if she wins play it off like she cheated to tease her or just say like your faster than me plain and simple.

also don't judge me lmoa this is like a normal average guy walking up to the most beautiful super model actress ect... ever and getting a yes or thats how I see it.

thanks for the help everyone
