If she knew it was absolutely going to happen, and did nothing to stop it, she could be in real trouble. The way she has been talking it is likely to get back to the police investigating the case, and she may be a suspect herself.

The best thing for her to do is to go to an attorney (she can see someone for free through various legal aid organizations, do an internet search for your state (ex., "california") and "legal aid" - the legal aid web page should have a number to call to see how to talk to a lawyer - when she calls she should tell them that she needs advice about CRIMINAL LAW and that it is urgent, regarding a recent murder. She should be careful about how much she says over phone to legal aid (she will be talking to a receptionist, not a lawyer) and will need to go meet the lawyer in person.

The lawyer ABSOLUTELY CANNOT TELL ANYONE (including the police) what she tells him - even if she were to say she did it herself. The lawyer can tell her what to do next - go to police (probably with a lawyer) and he can advise her on what to say and when to use her "right to remain silent." She could escape being in big big trouble by getting legal advice then seeing the police SOON.

I guess it depends what she knew, why she knew and why she didnt do anything to attempt to stop it happening. I agree with the previous response - she really could be in a dangerous situation, paticularly if she is goig round talkin openly about it.She should probably go to the police in confidence initially.

ingotblue agony auntI think that the police would be very happy to hear from her, I dont think she would get in to trouble as such but she would be questioned.

How did she know it was going to happen? where did she get the info?

Does she know who did it?

What you do need to be worried about is that the killers might see her as a threat, if they think shes knows anything then she could be next.

The only way to get this sorted is to go to the police and tell all.
