A male United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Okay first some background, around April I got out of a 5 month reletionship with I girl I completly fell in love with, to this day I'm still upset over losing her. And so I was pretty upset for awhile, and I hid it pretty well, but over time I started to like a girl thats in my culinary class

I've known her all year, but we didn't start being good friends till me and my ex had broke up, then we became good friends. We walked together, sat together, texted each other, and hung out afterschool with all her friends. And I had started to like her, even tho I didn't think I ever would.

The problem at the time was, she had a boyfriend she had been dating for 2 years, on and off, really bad reletionship. So I started to talk to her best friend about it, and she said they have talked about me before, and she is still wrapped around her boyfriend(which i believe they were broken up at the time). But she said I should go ahead and tell her I like her.

So I did, and she ignored me the whole day. And it sucked. Then at the end of the day she came up to me and gave me a hug and said im sorry, it just frustrated me what you said, I told her im sorry, and being friends was most important to me.

So after that summer came along, and we started to hang out a bit more, and her and her boyfriend had gone on break while he went away for a few months. And one night her mom dropped me off at my house and she walked to the door with me, then she told me this,"I think we should be just friends" I said,"Okay", then she said,"But if I do somethin you have to promise not to tell anyone ever", and I said ok. Then she kissed me, and we kissed for about 15 seconds, or i dont know. All I know it was the best kiss of my life, I was filled with the best feeling ive ever experinced through all my reletionships, and honestly, for that moment I was scared it was all a dream.

After that day, when we hung out we had kissed and made out a few more times, but kept it a secret. Maybe because she didnt want her friends seeing since she was technically on a break with her boyfriend.

Then one day after we hungout, I felt something was diffrent, and she later texted a few days later and told me she didnt want to be friends with benifits anymore. Then ignored me the whole summer up until this past couple of days. Shes going to be in my culinary class again this year, and I still like her alot.

Though Im confused, I dont want to settle, I would rather hold onto someone as amazing as her, then date the next best. But I dont know if she even likes me or what. I just could really use some ideas of whether if she likes me or not

janniepeg agony auntYes she likes you but she likes her boyfriend better. The kiss was amazing but she is not an amazing girlfriend. Your first impression of her was right, you didn't think you would ever like her. See how time changes everything? Now you think no one would be as amazing as her. Later some other girl would proove you wrong. You will certainly not be settling. Anything is better than a girl who cheats. The good kiss doesn't take away the fact that she's a cheater.
