She invited me to a birthday party at the last minute?

How would you react if girl invited you to her birthday party at the last minute?

A girl who's been flirting with me asked me to come to her birthday party a few weeks before that event, but she didn't specify the time and location, just the date. I called her and left a message asking her for the details a 2 days before the party, but she got back to me via text only 1 hour before the party.

Here was her text: "Hey! Totally just realized I never called u back. Been super busy but that's not excuse. Anyway, the party is at..."

How would you reply to that text?

How might that affect your relationship with her?

Would you even wish her a happy birthday?

QuirkLady agony aunt1. "Thanks!"

2. It wouldn't.

3. Yes I would, because she did invite you after all, and to not wish someone a Happy Birthday over something silly like this is just spiteful.

CindyCares agony aunt Yes. Noblesse oblige.

I'd write her back something like : happy birthday, I hope you'll have a great time. Unluckily, I can't join you on such a really short notice - maybe some other time .

Don't sweat it- don't make it a big deal

Just, assume that either she is not much interested in you or she needs to brush up on her manners. Or both.
