 Maybe its a flaw in my character but I am a very indirect person, so I dont ring people I "text" them or email them or leave voice messages, but dont it leave it too late to ring, give her a quick buzz and then arrange to meet up etc, you are gonna have to talk to her sooner or later friend!!!  Or you could mail her if your on email at work and just say hi how you doing... was thinking of calling you later on if your free ? kind of like didnt want to call when you are busy and kinda checking that its okay to call! Shes probably really keen to hear from you! Or just bite the bullet call her! She gave you her number because she was interested and is probably thinking when's he gonna call! She may be thinking that you were not intersested! Just call her take the plunge!

 You say your not too confident on the phone... I hate that really horrible silence when you both don't know what to say to each other!
How about you give her a quick call (don't see why it shouldn't be the next day, if you like her show it by calling her sooner)ask how she is, how her weekend was etc then ask her to meet you for coffee or a quick drink somewhere, suppose then you can be face to face with her and she'll see the more confident side to you, don't text her, call her, its always nicer when someone calls you!

I think if your interested you should call her fairly soon otherwise i think it shows that your "not that interested" in anything more that friends.....
