I am 49 and my new girlfriend is 49. We are both very athletic. She has gone through menopause, and now cannot reach an orgasm. What can I do? I have tried everything that I know. she wants to make sure that I am satisfied, but I want to take care of her also.

Help.

A male reader, anonymous, writes (7 July 2008):

Thanks for the insight. I have tried touching and stimulating, using my hands and oral. She really likes the oral but then wants intercourse. But she did complain about being dryer, and actually said we might need some lube. So being a good partner, I went down again and lubed her up. But I still couldn't get her to reach her orgasm. I think we will have to talk about it and make her comfortable. I will continue to try. Thank You.

Other then the good advice already given by the two "uncles"just a few tips that is often recommended to help;

Inform her of her attractiveness and desirability with compliments;

Long, leisured embraces,more attention to foreplay, tender kissing of the breast and clitoris are rewaridng at anytime, but particularly in the older women;

Longer and stronger foreplay, more tactile stimulation including caressing, rubbing and cuddling;

Help her to reach a climax through manual or oral stimulation;

Best wishes;

I'm only guessing here, - perhaps a lack of lubrication could be the problem? Women eventually dry up after the menopause and if you don't use some extra lube it can get very uncomfortable for her.

One day a manufacturer will come up with a bedside K-Y Jelly dispenser that's screwed to the wall, so that you don't have to go fumbling through the top drawer when the mood takes.
