writes: my girlfriend of almost 3 years broke up with me to be independent and because of my different religion. yet she still texts me like a couple times a week telling me that she misses me and if i could change something we would still be together. my question is how do i deal with this because it feels like it is impoosible for me to get over her so we can just be friends. or should i just block her out completely. oh yea she was the first one i told that i loved cause i did and i still might be. any suggestions?

I think she wants to end on a happy note and still wanna keep in touch with you and not lose the friendship between you and her.
Honestly if I were you, just sort your feelings out first like text her saying that you don't wanna talk to her for a bit coz you still miss her and you wanna get over her or just have time to yourself. That way she will stop texting you and you can have time to get over her and when you feel that you're completely over her you can text her back to say "hi how you doing" kinda thing and build a friendship (that if you wanna).
