When my birthday came this year in march i planned for me and her and my good friends to go to a club. We had everything set but a week before the set date she texted me and told me she couldn't call off work so she would miss the club. I told her it was okay. On Friday (the day before the club) i went to my other friend and asked her if she was going and she told me that she was going to a party that night with my best friend...so at lunch i brought up my party and my best friend used the same lie.(she had to work) So, after i had my fun at the club i decided to show up at the party. My best friend looked shocked and tried to hide so i just left.Ever since then its been awkward for us and now we almost never talk. I know she misses me and i miss her too but she still blows me off when we try to hang out. Should i even keep trying?

Since she initiates all and rejects your own plans then all the more reason why I think it is only convenient for her.

Hi,
No I wouldn't bother anymore. She just pays you lip service. Does the talk but doesn't want to follow up with it. Time to let go now I'm afraid. Especially after the party incident.

CupidsDaughter is verified as being by the original poster of the questionThanks. And just to make things clear, she's the one coming to me on Facebook making all the plans, not me.

I think it is clear as daylight that this friend of yours doesn't want to be a part of your life...only "conveniently".
