The fact that she would trust you to do something like that in the first place says enough :) I would take it as a good sign, I wouldn't be worried or think that you did something wrong by the way your responded.You could read it as a physical invitation in that she trusted you do something very intimate for her. Take it as a compliment and perhaps be a little bit more bold on acting on your feelings for her. Don't worry so much about making mistakes.
It's an odd question to ask a man, but I think she was flirting with you.
