Hi there,

It is a good question, from a male point of view it does depend on who you are with, if there is a chemistry between you it is all in the build up, getting each other to a point where the feelgood feeling kicks in, the intimacy is hard to describe, there is nothing to compare, it is like being on a rollacoaster and free falling through the sky at the same time, it is a feeling you want to make last forever.

When you do experience it you will definately get hooked.

Best of luck

"a bit like masturbating, only 10 times better (duh)"

No offense banana1, but that sentiment's not so obvious to me. Sometimes, if you want the job done right, you've just got to do it yourself.

Sex is like...

..well, something very fragile, can be very very very good (=best feeling ever), to very bad (making you feel lonely and used, in pain, ashamed, bored, annoyed).

I'll only describe good sex here:

- a bit like masturbating, only 10 times better (duh)

- a bit like being hungry for someone else's body and trying to eat this person by absorbing it through your skin, wanting to bite, slap, hug, suck, stroke, push, pull at the same time

- a bit like being drunk or on drugs, getting rid of inhibitions, full of nasty ideas that you think are fun at the moment

- a bit like being a child again, very much lost in the moment, like the times you were playing a very interesting game that absorbed you completely

- a bit like being someone else you didn't know you could be

- a bit like losing your mind

- warm, wet

- a bit like when you're running, breathing heavily

- a bit like being happy when you stand in a huge crowd and your favourite band plays your favourite song, or being nervous before you start to ride on a rollercoaster

So_Very_Confused agony auntIt depends on the person...

sex with a man who does a slow dance is fun and romantic and gentle.

sex with a go getter is slam bam thank you mam then he brings you ice cream.... (well I quit smoking years ago)

sex with other women is wet and different altogether

and sex with myself is when i get to make all the choices...

Sex is like taking a reverse poop hehe.

Okay it's like an intense hug with someone you care deeply about except with the added bonus of an orgasm and a pleasurable sexual feeling.

A female reader, kirra07 Canada +, writes (5 January 2012):

Sex feels like tingling travelling up and down your body, especially at certain parts. It feels like tension and build up, like you're straining for something. It feels like pressure and sometimes a little pain, sometimes you see stars. Honestly, it's so hard to explain what it feels like. And it could be entirely different for you.

Fatherly Advice agony auntMostly I'm answering this because the question has the potential to be a fun discussion.

On a personal note to the original poster, the key to great sex is a well built trusting relationship.

Sex is like sharing a really great desert.

Sex is like a game where both players win.

A reader, anonymous, writes (5 January 2012):

You'll probably hate this answer, but it just depends who it's with and your relationship to them.

With a good partner you have a connection with, it can feel as if your whole consciousness shrinks and gets sucked into your loins and then explodes again (if you have an orgasm).

Even if you don't have an orgasm, there's the wonderful feeling of being close to someone else who loves and appreciates you and knowing you make them feel good.

Other times it's like having someone brush your teeth for you...it's just something you tolerate to make the other person feel useful. Depends on your partner.
