Are they likely to wait a long time like until the last possible moment before they ask her out? Also if their friends know will they keep pushing him to ask her out?

reader, anonymous, writes (7 January 2010): for me, as a shy guy, i have trouble asking a girl out unless it is VERY clear she likes me back. This is because i'm afraid of rejection, teasing etc. I don't know about friends pressuring because i don't tell my mates who i like.
