Firstly you need to find out how much she likes him because if she likes him a lot you could seriosly hurt her feelings and if she doesnt like him alot you could explain how much you and this guy like each other and she might understand.

However if you find you both equally like this guy i think you and your best friend should forget about him. No guy is worth loosing a best friend over, suggest it to her then if she goes back to him more fool her, she will be loosing a bestfriend.
