malvern agony auntI would have thought that nowadays there must be some sort of surgical procedures you can have to alleviate the problem especially as you are not old. There are doctors who specialise in the bowel area of the body and I think they can assist with bladder control. I think you need to ask your doctor to send you to see a specialist.

I agree with YCBS. This is a"

"specialist subject" which needs a specialist forum like the British Continence Foundation. I'm sure you'll be able to post there even though you're not from the UK. Ask your GP if there's an Irish equivalent.

Youcannotbeserious agony auntI'm so sorry to hear of your health issues. Just wanted to drop a line to say that the lack of responses is probably down to the fact that this is not the best site to post this sort of problem. I'm not sure any of the aunts or uncles have had experience of this sort of problem so we are not able to advise.

Have you had a chat with your doctor? That may be a better starting point to see if he has any suggestions.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (15 August 2021):

I don’t, but there are certainly going to be other people in a similar situation to yourself, or who want a relationship that is not sexual. I have family and friends with crones and colitis and they have formed relationships or are married, so I don’t think this disability is the sole reason for you not finding love. It might make it more challenging I agree, but there will be people out there who are understanding, you just need to meet them.

Tinacandida agony auntWhat kind of relationship are you looking for? They say theres someone for eceryone. Maybe you should get to know someone first with similar interests instead of putting the health issues at the forefront.
