I have tried many things plain yogurt, vagisil..etc..but it keeps coming back, specially when i eat yeasty food ( i know this can be a big cause)..but otherwise I take care of myself very well.. Does anyone else out there have reoccurring yeast? Could it be something else? Will it ever stop? its affecting my relationship. Reply to this Question Share |

Maybe too have your partner checked. I may be out on a limb here but if he has jock itch, maybe that is the cause of your yeast infection.

Grapefruit seed extract!
You can get some from a health food shop or on line, dilute as it says on the bottle with some nice warm water, perhaps use the lower concentration first time. Put the solution in a sports drinking bottle and squirt it inside yourself.
It does not interfere with natural flora and fauna internally or destroy good bacteria. It somehow makes bacteria inactive.
Look it up on Google.
You should go to see your doctor aswel though.
Good Luck. x

Also, the type of toilet paper you are using can effect you that way. Try wearing only cotton panties. Sometimes Nylon material can do it. I know I have had the same issues before. I used antibacterial soap, and take showers and not baths to be sure I am rinsed clean, but I NEVER douche....douching is bad and can rob your vagina of its essential fluids to keep healthy causing yeast infections. I had a tubal pregnancy and was informed by the OBGYN that douching can cause even that, so I NEVER douche. I just clean myself well and I have not had issues with yeast for a long time. I buy hypo-allergentic toilet paper, and I do not use the purex laundry soap. Lots of things can cause yeast, but also, after you shower, let your privates get some air, and make sure they are good and dry always. Do not wipe forward after you pee, wipe back towards your butt. Lots of things to try. Hope it helps

I've heard recurring yeast infections could have more serious causes so you should definitely go to the GYN. I also found this and thought it could help:
You can help prevent a vaginal yeast infection by doing the following:
* Eat a balanced diet.
* Get enough sleep.
* If you go swimming, get out of your swimsuit as soon as possible.
* Don't wear pads or panty-liners beyond the length of your period.
* Don't use deodorant tampons.
* Avoid feminine deodorant sprays and douches. They irritate the vulva and vaginal areas.
* Wipe from front to back after urination and bowel movement.
* Antibiotics can also cause a yeast infection, since they kill or decrease normal flora. If you need to take antibiotics, you can ask for an anti-yeast prescription, or you can buy over-the-counter creams or suppositories.
* Avoid tight-fitting clothing and wear cotton, rather than synthetic, underwear.
Also this question was answered by a doctor at: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15002033/ and it has VERY useful information on other causes and treatments (to long to paste here)!
Good luck!

Consider seeing a doctor about your problem, especially if you have never been diagnosed professionally with a yeast infection. It may well be something else. Furthermore, recurring yeast infections are often an early warning sign of diabetes--your doctor may want to run tests for this as well.
Hope this helps
