Normally, I notice when I'm ovulating, and I don't remember ovulating during the usual time-frame (mid-cycle, so around the 14th) but maybe that's just my inability to notice... normally, however, I get cramps and PMS-like symptoms before ovulation. Anyway... I should have gotten my period about 2 days ago and haven't yet. I took a pregnancy test yesterday that came out negative, and I don't feel any symptoms, and I also had discharge around 3 or 4 days ago that resembled ovulation. I had a horrible stomach virus during my last period (March 7th) and probably lost some weight, and the weeks after, I was very sleep deprived and I was stressed throughout the end of my last period and during the middle of this current cycle. I am always VERY anxious about my period and am very nervous about the fact that my period is a few days late with no sign of it on it's way. The condom did not break or slip and there was no sign of leakage or anything like that - we always check the condoms afterwards to make sure there is no evidence that anything went wrong. Should I trust the pregnancy test or should I be scared? I recall a time missing my period before because i had lost weight, and I'm not entirely sure I've ever really had regular periods...however, I always read that stress doesn't really delay periods..? And I heard that pregnancy tests aren't as reliable as they claim, and I feel like I have no way of knowing what's going on - Please help!

It could be stress. it could be weight loss. if you're worried about pregnancy, even though you used protection it's far more unlikely, but i suggest taking another pregnancy test or even seeing your doctor to have a professional test to make sure. Really it's probably a combination of stress and weight loss. Don't worry too much.
