It's her longest relationship and I really do want my card to her to be special. She has demanded that I not get her any gifts, only that we just spend the afternoon together so I'm getting her a card just to put my thoughts down in front of her, for her to look at when I can't be there with her at night or during school. Any help would be appreciated. I do love her and I am the luckiest guy in the world to have the chance to marry her and I want her to know that she is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me.

reader, anonymous, writes (14 November 2012): I know she's demanded you not to give her any gifts but I'm sure she'd love it if you surprised her with something little like a bunch of flowers. Definitely write something that's personal to you and her in the card rather than use a cliché quote. Good luck!

I would suggest a quote from a source meaningful to HER such as:
1) a line or phrase from a song, poem, novel, non-fiction book, play, movie, TV show (or even the gift of a work whose title would strike a chord, particulary an autobiographiy)
2) a quote or phrase associated with favorite pop culture icon or inspirational figure, either famous or personal
"I want her to know that she is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me"
That's why I can't will not offer specifics, quote has to be a gift from YOUR heart to HER heart, words that coming to her from you mean something to her that no other person on the planet would ever understand or appreciate. Dear Cupid readers can't possibly know what makes her the special pesron whom she is, only YOU do, and so gift must be something only YOU could possibly give her, something she knows how much thought YOU put into selecting just for her, and will let her know you're thinking of her when you are physically separated by distance and/or obligations.

I am not supplying an answer because the best questions are the ones that ultimately only you can answer because they're the only ones you would think to ask.
