An overwhelming odor may be an indication of a vaginal infection, don't try to treat it yourself by douching, using sprays and stuff like that it can make it worse, see a doctor. A smelly vagina is not normal especially if you have itching, green or brown discharge and if your pee smells and looks odd. Good luck

wash once a day with clean water and natural soap and dry immediately. I would also just pay your doctor a visit to ensure there is nothing more serious going on. Remember: lots of women have the same issue so it is nothing to be embarrassed about so a chat with your doctor will be best!!

Vagina's have a natural odour, some womens are stronger than others. Its something you may just have to deal with.
If you have itching and discharge thats another matter, but if your vagina seems healthy and just has a smell then its most likely your natural odour.
Tips; Wash only once a day, you want to keep the natual bacteria. DONT douch! i.e. wash up inside the vagina, this is really bad for you. Buy some feminine wash/wipes/spray. This keeps your vagina balanced and more fresh between washes.

do you have itching or soreness? do you have discharge?
have you had a gyn exam yet?
maybe what you think is bad odor is just the natural flora and fauna of your body...
when you say you WASH... what are you doing? do you douche? that's not a great idea).... or are you just washing the external genitalia area?

If that doesn't solve the problem, visit the doctor in case you have a slight infection. If so they can soon give you something.

Probably bacterial infection.Nothing serious, easily curable. And don't feel bad because you can get them even if you observe the most scrupoluos hygiene. The vaginal bacterial flora is easily altered by ... plenty of things : nylon underwear, pantyliners, stress, hot weather...
The right thing to do would be to see your doctor, but, frankly, if you are broke/in a hurry , your chemist is a good shortcut and can advise you topical remedies.

Sounds like you have thrust. You might be producing an yeast like discharge, which can be itchy and smelly. Nothing to panic about. Just can checked at your Dr's or you try Canestan duo from the pharmacy. Drink plenty of water and eat natural 'live' yoghurt this should help. You should wash your vagina everything day, just don't go pushing things up inside of to clean it. Don't use any soap in the meantime.

A
reader, anonymous, writes (16 June 2011): I have done the same thing, and finally went to the doctor. Its very common, but you might have a yeast infection. Don't feel disgusted, confused, or scared. It happens to ALL women. It can be from many things, like...types of underwear you wear, or...what you eat.
When I went to the doctor, i told him that i wash my vagina EVERYDAY! And you know what he told me? That was a bad idea (is that crazy or what?!!?) Your vagina holds GOOD bacteria, and also BAD bacteria. If you constantly wash your vagina- you are cleaning away the good bacteria (&some of the bad). The good bacteria is suppose to help fight the bad bacteria. So...if you don't have any good bacteria.....then whats going to clean the bad bacteria?!
Go to the doctor first, get a prescription (its one tiny little pill), and ask your doctor for advice.
I also think theres yeast infection pills at walmart next to the tampon section...(i dont know how well they work though...)In that section you can find EVE private area wash. Its very good, and I use it. Its specially made for cleaning the vagina area. I would use it every other day (I usually use it like 3 times a week). Goodluck!

Vaginas smell like vaginas. They aren't going to smell like roses.
