Most people are tolerant of homosexuality, and those that aren't are struggling with their own fears and misconceptions. You need to get online and start reading. Coming out and discovering who you are sexually can be a long and sometimes painful process. I wish you the best of luck!

reader, anonymous, writes (21 March 2009): If you are gay, you can only be true to yourself and live that lifestyle. Otherwise your life is just a lie. That's the only pro to being gay. Just be who you are and some people have a rougher path in life than others.
