I really want to ask this guy but I am way too worried about the things that could go wrong to ask him. We are friends and I'm scared that if I ask him I will ruin the friendship we have. I actually like him a little bit but no one knows. What should I do?? Reply to this Question Share |

Chill :). There os nearly one year yet to your prom, if you ask him now he'll think you have OCD or an anxiety disorder or something !
If you want to ask him out for a date ( AND you can handle a possible rejection / seeing possible changes in your friendship ) ask him out now, for NOW.
If don't want to risk rejection, or a changed attitude toward your friendship, don't say anuthing, just stay frends and at most ask him to prom next yaer, a month or so before the actual date . Of course ,if you wait, you risk that by then some other girls has snatched him from you, but , sigh, life is not risk free- there's always an element of risk in most things you do.
It depends what you'd handle better- being rejected or and / or firmly friendzoned, or missing your chance and maybe losing him to other girls. Your choice.

You either keep the friendship, don't ask him to prom and get rid of your feelings for him, or you ask him out and accept the risks. You can't ask him to prom without asking him out first because it's too romantic for you to keep it platonic - that, and he might end up picking someone else over you last minute because you were going "just as friends"....
Weigh up the pros and cons and try to stay level-headed. You at least have the summer to think about it! :)
