I've had irregular periods for as long as I can remember, I've had about 5 injections of the depo provera and everytime at my third month mark I'd have my period; been sexually active unprotected with my mate for whom I've been with for 2 years. I've stopped my depo in april of this year and still active unprotected. I've been getting discharge (my guess body cleaning self out) but I haven't a period. I recently started feeling the cravings and the little cramps on my left side as if I was to start my period then I'd get a little pressure on my abdomen after. Just looking for an insight on this. I'm afraid of seeing a doctor and telling my closest ones about it. Thanks for your time

 see...when i was on depo...i bleed like crazy and gained alot of weight! and i've done the pills and hate taking it every day at the same time! i did the nueva ring and didn't mind it but not so comfortable with the thought of having a ring inside me for 3 weeks. never tried the patch but heard that you may get alot of blood clots...so i went on the IUD and now i'm good for 5 years and haven't had a period! and no weight gain...and i don't feel a thing! and there's evidence so my boyfriend is secure and it is a weird thought of having something inside for about 5 years, but i can choose to get it removed anytime. and my doctor told me it's more effective then getting your tubes tied! talk to a doctor and see what's best for you. but yeah...your body will change after being on/off any birth control so make sure you're ok!~good luck
