A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I lost my job because my son was extremely ill and they wouldn't give me personal days to care for him as I'm all he has right now.

My bf tried to take his dash apart in his newly purchased 2000 Monte Carlo and he ended up breaking his ignition to where it needs a new cylinder and that's going to cost about three to five hundred for the shop to do it because they charge one hundred an hour.

Since my bf just bought this Monte Carlo we also have still have to pay taxes, registration and tags and all that fun stuff to be put on the car and we have to do all of this within this month.

I just found out that I am pregnant with my second child which was completely and totally unplanned (i'm excited though, very much so).

Only now I have no money, no job and we are struggling more than ever. Now that we have to fix his car, I don't know if we will be able to give my son and our new child a Christmas this year or afford our endless pile of bills this month.

I know a lot of people are going through this type of situation where there just isn't enough money and I was wondering if anyone has any advise on how to deal with this or how to get some extra money? Or quite possibly what you do to just breathe and destress and get through these things.

I'm very emotional and I believe that's because of the pregnancy, I cry at random points for no reason and I didn't do this with my son. I'm so stressed out right now I don't know what to do.

kellyO agony auntHi Anom,

I empathize with your situation.

First is it necessary to have a car at the moment. maybe it is possible to use public transport for now or not fix the car until needed or maybe sell it?

Second, maybe it is possible to have a simple job e.g baby sitting just have some extra money on the side while you try to get another job.

If everything else fails maybe you can get some support from your parents or his parents or maybe close relatives who can help out.

At the moment you are pregnant and you should try to relaxe for the sake of child. I know is difficult but you have to try.

Hugs

Kelly
