If your test shows that you are negative, then you are most likely not pregnant. The probability of getting a false positive/negative are very low due to the fact that these test are very sensitive to the hormone. Even if you use an expired test you will most likely get an accurate result. Believe me, i've just had a long conversation with my doctor about this.

The right time is never there. All you can do is make it the best time possible. Having an income is important, and a plan. Getting married first would be best, it secures the frames within which a child is born. A proper place to stay is also necessary.

You can not fully trust a pregnancy test 4 days after a missed period. Stress & anxiety can delay a period easily.
The pregnancy hormones show up in a blood test 7-12 after a missed period. Some... urine tests can detect pregnancy as soon as 5 days after missed ovulation.
I would wait another week then re-test with a urine test. If that shows up negative, but you STILL haven't had your period, I would call the doctor and ask for a blood test.
And if you are NOT pregnant, get on birth control, if you do not wish to have children right now. ASAP.

4 days isn't late.
Those tests are extremely sensitive so if they come back negative, then you are not pregnant.
I will bet you a large sum of money your next period comes within the next 10 days.

I agree 4 days isn't that late. If you go by an entire months you could try another pregnancy test. But in all likelihood there is something else that has caused your period to be delayed. If you continue to miss your periods, or they don't follow the normal pattern, you should see your doctor about it. A missing period is a symptom of something happening in your body, not necessarily pregnancy, but a lot of other things and illnesses even. Hormonal imbalances are often to blame, you could lack enough estrogen, have too much testosterone, be stressed out...
A missed or delayed period could mean anything. Most common factor is stress.

There's no way that any of us could know. Go see a medical professional. You probably haven't waited long enough trying to take a home pregnancy test. Stress, illness can play a factor with making a period late. The more you stress about this, the more it could mess up your cycle.

A

If you are worried about getting pregnant, please go to the doctor to learn about options you have for contraceptives. If you don't want to take the Pill, get a shot or get an implant or ring, then by all means use condoms every time you have sex, from start to finish.
