Pregnancy - How should I deal with this? I can't tell my mum as she will go mental.

Question - (15 April 2009) 8 Answers - (Newest, 15 April 2009)
A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I think I may be pregnant. I had sex 2 weeks after my period and the condom broke. I'm now 12 days late for my period and will get a test tomorrow to make sure I am pregnant but my periods are very regular and i have never missed one or been more than 3 days late since I was 12.

How should I deal with this? I can't tell my mum as she will go mental. I don't want to tell a doctor or a counciler as I hate them people getting invovled in my life as they have just seemed to make my problems worse all the times I have been to them. I also don't want to tell my boyfriend yet as he said he doesn't want a child yet as hes just settled into work and doesn't want his friends turning against him.

I just don't know what to do. I feel so lost. I know it sound horrible but I think the best thing to do is to have an abortion as I am in no fit state to have a baby as I can hardly support myself without having a child. How do I book an abortion and where do I go to have one?

Thanks so much. I just feel so alone but I need to go through this by myself but I just don't have a clue what to do.

niki20 agony aunti thought my mom was going to flip out when i told her i was pregnant, she did a lot of crying. as soon as my son was born she wasnt mad anymore. if you are confine in your mom. she might be pissed but shell realize that your hot a baby any more to let you do what makes you feel like your doing the right thing. its scary, but you have to trust people, even if you dont like them. if you feel like you wont ge able to handle it, then you can always abort it if that's what you would feel more comfortable w.

I'm not at all pro on this.. i got pregnant when i was eighteen but also got married and kept it... But i thought you had to be 18 or older to have an aborption without an adult parents or guardian present and to sign stuff. Your age thing says you younger than that.

ArmyMedic agony auntI'm glad the website helped, I don't think your boyfriend understands the ins and outs of female reproduction too well does he.

The IUD is a non-hormonal contraceptive device that is fitted inside you and can last upto 10 years and when you want a baby you just get a doctor to take it out.

If you don't want a baby you really should use two forms of birth control, and your boyfriend needs to go to a family planning clinic with you, so he can understand this stuff before dictating what he wants you to do with your body!

ArmyMedic agony auntIf you are pregnant you are going to have to tell your Mum, and Doctor.

If you weren't so anti-doctors you could have asked one for the pill or even the morning after pill, you sound like your own worst enemy.

These people are here to help you, not to mock you or make your life more difficult.

Try this website http://www.mariestopes.org.uk/Home.aspx it costs £450 for the early abortion pill, if you haven't got that then you will have to see a doctor.
