I used to think that I was able to meet his needs, but when I come home, and he has no desire to be with me because he has already pleased through porn, then I feel inadequate and frustrated. It's not as bad as cheating, but it's more like a crush, that builds into something that interferes with us, and eventually will destroy our relationship. ..until then I wait and hope that he can wait too...for me to come home...so we can get off....together!

When you say side effects- do you mean good or bad? I would say that it depends on what you like about it. Is it jus seeing naked women or is it more then that. Are you healthy person who just is curious and yearning for a good sex life- or -are you getting off on watching women submit to your every whim? Thats what I would ask myself.

 Absolutely none, unless you already have other problems.
BUT the same can be said as about drinking alcohol. It might do you harm if you do it to excess, and it might be addictive for some people.
There are, of course, areas of "porn" that it is inadvisable to take an interest in. I don't need to go into details. If it's not something you could reasonably do in private with a consenting partner (or two, or three) without breaking any laws, then it's not something you should be watching. Common sense is required.

Um... I dont see anything wrong with porn really. Sex is not some man on women secret bed style thing that it was made out to be in the 50's! Hardcore porn can help bring excitement and new ideas to relationships. Me and my gf will often watch porn together to find things we would like to try or experience.
However, if you are weak minded you could find yourself looking at women as objects or sexual toys because of watching porn. Its not so much the porn that causes this, but its ease of attainment and accessibility. Being able to turn it on and off when you please, find whatever you want when you want it, no questions asked, no one to say no, its just about you and what you want... Sometimes people will confuse this accessibility with reality.
As long as you can separate the two, it should not be a problem. Just remember that yes porn is for your enjoyment, but like any television, it has its limitations.
Like children who play violent video games and then think, hey I can really kill people! That is the same mentality that should not be used while enjoying the porn!
