writes: hi. im a guy and im turning 17 years old next month. my friends always go on about how porn is great etc etc, so i thought id try it. but it doesnt get me excited pretty much at all. ive tried, lesbian, gay, threesomes, groups, man and woman, anal, oral, loud quiet etc pretty much everything but it just seems to have no effect on me. is there something wrong with me??

reader, anonymous, writes (7 August 2008): Many people find porn disgusting and it used to be that they were rather vocal about it, recently however, it seems to be that one risks sounding 'prudish' if we don't like porn and you don't hear much from these people anymore.
I personally don't like porn on bit. In fact, I'm quite disgusted by most of it. Good for you for seeing it for what it truly is. I think that people who think it's all that are easily amused and probably not as smart as you.

I dunno, perhaps you just prefer the real thing? Perhaps your girlfriend, or if you don't currently have one, your next girfriend will be pleased.
The trouble is being in your teens, and late teens is that everybody goes on about stuff cos its' new to them, basically they act like stuff is new and they are the first to discover it. Give people time, I guarantee this time next year, it won't be the topic of conversation.
