Me and my partner were all set 2 go ahead with the pregnancy until we were told the baby wouldn't survive, as it had leaky heart valves. It's something that devastated us, so we decided to try for another baby the next month. That was last April, a year on and we're still trying! I have 3 kids already, but my partner has none, so i'm desperate to make him a daddy. Has anyone been in a similar situation in regards of the time it's taking? How long did it take for you after an abortion? please give me some light at the end of the tunnel.

Well you've already established that you are both healthy and fertile so that shouldnt be an issue.
Yes there can be complications of abortion procedures but this is very rare.
Approximately 85% of couples actively trying for a baby get pregnant within a year. It could be that you are that unlucky 15% who have to wait a little longer Im afraid.
One of the main reasons people can have trouble concieving is due to stress. As you've described you have both been through a very stressful time and this could be delaying things for you.
Acupuncture is supposed to higher the chances of concieving by 50% as it has a calming affect on the body. All I can suggest is too relax as much as possible.
Good luck, hope you hear the patter of time feet soon!

Personaly I don't believe in abortion...miracles do happen, and maybe that baby could have survived....but anyway I am here to help not judge. Maybe you should talk to a doctor, because my sister had an abortion, and later couldn't get pregnant again, and it turned out that something wasn't right with the way the abortion was done, so you should definately see a doctor.
