Playing games? Or likes me?

Question - (22 August 2009) 3 Answers - (Newest, 22 August 2009)
A female United Kingdom age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I kissed this guy a year and a half ago but the following night he said that he was drunk that night. I met him a few times since but nothing ever happened and we just talked. I bumped into him in a bar last weekend and he apologised for what happened a year and a half ago. We kissed but he said he didn't want to go out with anyone at the moment because he was going away for a month. I said to him would he like to go out with me and he said he would.

Does he like me or is he just playing games and I should forget about him?

Thanks for the advice. I forgot to mention that he also asked me to meet him for lunch last Monday (if he wasn't too busy at work), gave me his number (he had mine already) and told me to give him a text. When I hadn't heard from him by 12.30 on Monday I foolishly text him. He text me back and said he had alot of things to do at work and wouldn't be able to meet me after all.

I know I should probably forget about him but easier said than done.

P.S. He is a bit shy and other people have said the same thing to me.

Basschick agony auntHe said he was going away for a month. So don't expect much until he returns, and then you may attempt to book a lunch date, or a date for drinks and see how things go. If he makes excuses or acts distant, I wouldn't contact him after that. He's not interested or involved with someone else.
