He is always striking up a conversation too. I do catch his staring at me, and when i look at him he doesn't look away but instead looks deep into my eyes. What is the guy up to?!

If a male teacher makes a female student feel uncomfortable with his behaviour then his behavoiur is innappropraite and you have many options. You can tell a family member how you feel, if it is possible then you could ask to be switched into another class so you dont have to see him, or if you have a form tutor you can tell them how you feel, and if he does anything to make you feel uncomfortable again either tell him or tell a higher ranking member of staff. your safety comes first!

I recently went through the same thing but my phys ed teacher is a student teacher and he is hot, he would flirt with me during p.e as well but I just through little flirty things back and nothing has gone on but it was a bit of fun, if you like him then just have fun otherwise just ignore him.
Hope this helped!

Something he shouldn't be. If what he is doing makes you uncomfortable then you should report him to the principal. Make sure he keeps things professional. I wouldn't call this flirting, but it's borderline.
If you are uncomfortable with what he is doing, then you need to report him to the proper authorities.
