fishfood agony auntit could be down to a number of things really, things like a change of diet, stress, having a lot on ur mind and worrying about things are usually the main reasons why periods start to get erratic. the more u worry about why its happening, the more erratic they might become - it can be a vicious circle unfortunately.

best thing to do really is if u really are worried, go to ur doctors and see what they have to say to put ur mind at rest

From someone that works in the medical field; a lot of things can cause this. As women mature and grow older, sometime hormone levels rise and fall differently. The best thing to do is there things: if there is a chance that your pregnant, get tested. Otherwise, keep a calendar of your menstrual cycle for the next 3-4 months. Some women just have irregular periods, and oral contraceptives (birth control pills) can help regulate this. That may be an option for you. The first thing to do is rule out pregnancy, then, try not to stress out about it. That can make it worse!

flower girl agony auntThere are many reasons for a change in regularity of periods, i will give you some of them but i would suggest a visit to your gp to get some tests run.

1. the most common is a disturbance in the balance between oestrogen hormones and progesterone hormones.

2. stress.

3. travel.

4. a change in contraception.

5. unsuspected pregancy or early miscarriage.

I hope you apprieciate that i am not trying to freak you out i just wanted to let you know all of the possibilities, but please book that appointment to find out for sure.

Take care.xx.

jtaunton5410 agony auntI figured you wouldnt want men to answer this question for you so I will try and help you out. As of now this is nothing for you to be concerned about. If you stopped having your period or it happend to be late there is a good chance that you could be pregant however, this is not your case. Are you dealing with some stress in your life? That could be a reason that you period has been a little different every month. There are a bunch of things that dont really have anything to do with your body that can change you cycle. For instance: eating foods with a lot of salt could change it, stress (as already mentioned), The weather change and just your body changing in general. Also I dont know if you would be interested in this but I take birth control pills and I start the same exact day every month. Those pills really regulate my cycle. If you want to go to the doctor and have him or her prescribe a birth conrtol that is covered by your insurance you will know the exact day when you are gonna start and be prepared for it. Dont worry your cycle is not abnormal, it is just fluctuating which is very common among young women.
