A reader, anonymous, writes (18 July 2006):

brun I would put this down to experience. We all make mistakes when we first start dating. I remember doing some extremely foolish things with a couple of very lovely girls when I was a teenager!

Learn from the experience, move on, and know better for the next lovely girl who comes your way!

Martyrmachine agony auntwell, the only thin i can say, that you should think it over before doing something, and you probably think that that last name didnt really matter that much.

you might try get back in contact, as ive 'broken up' temporarily with my girlfriend several times, but gotten together in a day or two. although that might be hard to do, as i understand the relationship was net-based.

sometimes its better not to try and find out something about someone, which they dont want to reveal (man, especially with girls :D)
