writes:I recently came into contact with an old friend from the past. He had asked to see me, and was talking about how excited he was for days. He had asked me if i had a boyfriend, and i asked about his girlfriend. He was previously in a commited relationship with someone where they lived together and were engaged. We started seeing eachother and our time together was amazing. All we did is kiss and cuddle, which made me think it was going somwehere. I decided to tell him that I don't want to hook up with him if he's seeing other people. He then told me he has his mind set on being single and isn't ready for another relationship. He said i'm a gorgeous girl and any smart guy could see that but hes just dumb and isnt ready for another relationship yet. I can't help but feel hurt because i really thought he had feelings for me. was he letting me down nicely because he simply wasnt just that into me or does this seem like a genuine thing to say? also does it seem like there is any hope for the future? i was really starting to fall for him, it just sucks.

I'm glad you've seen this before you took it further. I suspect right now that he is only interested in single and though likes you, really isn't ready to move on yet. so now you need to be brave and move on yourself.
