Oh, definitely call, don't text. Mr. Reality Check is right.
Here are some pointers:
1. Game plan! It's very important to have a clear idea of what you two are going to be doing. Whether it's a walk in the park, coffee, lunch/dinner, movies - plan it.
Be sure to have a backup plan as well. Trust me on this one.
2. Be brief and don't beat around the bush. Don't go telling her how things are and so on. Just ask her how she is out of politeness and then go straight to the point.
3. Try to get yourself relaxed before you make the call. You don't want to have a shaky voice as you're asking a girl out.

call her and tell her you wanna get to know here better, texting her isn't a good way to start this off cos it makes it seem like you have low confidence, talking on the phone is easier and a better way to talk cause you get more comfortable with each other quicker..hope this helpsx

Oh, for GODS SAKE don't text her - texting someone to ask them out is a good way of showing that you don't have any confidence. Call her up and ask her out. She already gave you her number, she must think you're alright.
